In this exclusive interview with RJS 2024 topper Radhika Bansal, she shares her journey, preparation strategy, and the challenges she faced while preparing for the Rajasthan Judicial Services exam<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Radhika Bansal hails from Hanumangarh, Rajasthan. From an early age, Radhika was determined to pursue a career in the judiciary. Despite not coming from a legal background, her dedication and hard work led her to this remarkable achievement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She completed her BA in 2019, followed by an LLB, and began her judiciary preparation. Radhika\u2019s success is a testament to her focused approach and the strong support of her family and mentors. Her journey is a motivating example for students, especially those from smaller towns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LPJ<\/strong>: Did you clear RJS exam on the first attempt?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Radhika<\/strong>: Yes, ma’am, this was my first attempt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LPJ<\/strong>: When did you decide to pursue a career in the judiciary after completing your graduation?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Radhika: <\/strong>I decided to pursue the judiciary career when I was in the 9th or 10th grade. In the 10th class, I was a CBSE topper. However, in 11th, I opted for the Humanities stream and completed my 11th and 12th. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After finishing my 3-year B.A. in 2019, I took admission in a 3-year LLB program in Hanumangarh and later began preparing for the judiciary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LPJ<\/strong>: Do you have anyone at home from a legal background who inspired you, or did you decide independently to pursue this career?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Radhika<\/strong>: I don\u2019t anyone in my family who belongs to law field. I made this decision on my own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LPJ<\/strong>: As a CBSE topper, did you face any pressure regarding your choice of law over other fields like science or B.Tech?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Radhika<\/strong>: No, ma’am. My family has always been supportive. They never pressured me to choose a specific course and respected all my decisions regarding my studies. There was no pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LPJ<\/strong>: During your preparation, did you feel any pressure? Did you expect to secure Rank 1 in RJS 2024?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Radhika<\/strong>: During my prelims and mains, I was consistently motivated by my family and supportive teachers, especially during the judiciary coaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LPJ<\/strong>: Was your support system instrumental in keeping you motivated?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Radhika<\/strong>: Yes, they were. Their constant support and encouragement gave me the confidence to clear the exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LPJ<\/strong>: This year\u2019s mains exam had some unexpected questions. How did you handle them, particularly in the English subject?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Radhika<\/strong>: Although my primary mode of study was English, my Hindi has always been strong. I had prepared for English, focusing on a few selected topics, but unfortunately, they weren\u2019t asked in the exam. I managed to handle it somehow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LPJ<\/strong>: How did you plan your judiciary preparation?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Radhika<\/strong>: My approach was straightforward. From the first day, I was determined to clear the mains, confident that I would get through the prelims. I prepared with the mains in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LPJ<\/strong>: Did you face any surprises during the interview or mains?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Radhika<\/strong>: No, ma’am. I remained highly motivated throughout my RJS preparation<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LPJ<\/strong>: With more girls opting for the judiciary, how do you think this will bring about change?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Radhika<\/strong>: When women achieve success, it motivates those watching and following us. I believe that clearing this exam will inspire others, especially those from smaller towns or villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LPJ<\/strong>: How did you cool up yourself during the preparation?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Radhika<\/strong>: During short breaks, I watched YouTube shorts or reels. For longer breaks, I spent time with my family, which was my favorite way to relax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LPJ<\/strong>: What was your study schedule like? What would you suggest as an ideal study schedule for serious candidates preparing for the RJS exam?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Radhika<\/strong>: I started my preparation in 2019 and joined RJS Coaching in Jaipur<\/a><\/strong> in 2022. I knew it would take time, as I wasn\u2019t someone who could clear the exam in 6 months or a year. I started early to have enough time for revision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LPJ<\/strong>: How did you structure your daily study routine?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Radhika<\/strong>: I didn\u2019t follow a specific schedule but studied as much as possible each day. I set daily targets, such as completing 20, 30, or 50 sections, followed by revision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LPJ<\/strong>: What message would you like to give other students about staying patient and mentally strong during their RJS preparation?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Radhika<\/strong>: Family support is the most significant source of motivation. I would advise students to work hard because there is no substitute for it. Stay committed to your duties, believe in yourself, and trust your teachers. With perseverance, success will follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
