AILET 2024 Application Process

The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is a highly competitive entrance examination for prospective law students seeking admission to the prestigious National Law University in Delhi (NLU-D). Every year, thousands of candidates compete for a limited number of seats.

If you are aspiring to study NLU Delhi’s 5 year B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) program for the academic year 2024-25, you need to clear AILET 2024. Except for AILET, the university does not accept any other law admission exam. The CLAT scores will not be considered by NLU Delhi.

The AILET application process 2024 is live, and you have hardly a few days to fill out your application form. The AILET last date for filing form is November 13, 2023, in online mode.

AILET Eligibility Criteria 2024

Here are the details of the AILET eligibility criteria for the year 2024:

AILET Subjects 2024

The NLU Delhi has reduced the number of sections in the AILET exam. The AILET exam paper is divided into sections into three (3) subjects, namely –  English Language, Current Affairs and General Knowledge, and Logical Reasoning.

Before filing the AILET application, be prepared with the following mentioned documents which you will need.

How To Fill AILET Application Form 2024?

To fill out the AILET application form 2024, you need to follow these steps:

STEP 1: 

Visit the official Delhi NLU website – https://nationallawuniversitydelhi.in/

STEP 2:

Click on the “Registration” link and complete the necessary fields, including your name, mobile number, e-mail ID, and password.

STEP 3: 

Click the “Register” button again.

STEP 4: 

A pop-window will appear for confirmation. You will then get a text message in your registered mobile number asking you to login in the Delhi NLU website with username.

Step 5: 

Login with your registered mobile number (this is your username) and password, which you will get through text message from NLU Delhi.

Step 6: 

Next step will be to change the password. After setting the new password, login again by clicking the registration link again.

Step 7: 

Select 5-Year B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) and click “Apply”

Step 8: 

To fill out the registration form, fill in your personal information, communication details, and qualifying examination details. 

Step 9: 

Upload the required documents –

(i) your scanned passport-size photograph (coloured with white background and not more than 1 mb in jpg/jpeg/png format)

(ii) signature (in a white paper sheet within a box 6×3 cm and not more than 1 mb) 

(iii)category certificate (if applicable).

Step 10: 

Then click on ‘Save as Draft’ and then click ‘Submit form’

Step 11: 

A preview will appear of your application form. If any mistake has been made by you while filing your application form, then click ‘Delete Application’ button and then fill the application form afresh.

But if no error has been made while filing the application form, then click ‘Make Payment’ button.

Step 12: 

Pop-up window will appear to make payment using credit, debit card, net banking or UPI.

You will receive a confirmation email and message after the AILET fees payment. Keep a copy for your records.

AILET Admit Card 2024

On November 20, 2023, the AILET admit card 2024 will be released by Delhi National Law University in online mode 

The AILET exam admit card consists of important details like the date and time of the exam, details of the AILET exam centre with detailed location and center code, and other general details like candidate name, category, etc., which need to be produced on the day of the examination. 

Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without the admit card.

Number of Seats in AILET 2024

Since AILET is conducted only for admission to the Delhi National Law University, the number of seats is limited, which makes the exam highly competitive. The total number of seats in the Delhi NLU is divided into the following categories :

Though, the Foreign Nationals/OCI/PIO are exempted from AILET but they should have 65% marks in the qualifying examination. 

There are additional supernumerary seats. One seat for Kashmiri migrants and two seats for residents of Jammu and Kashmir.
