AIR 14 CLAT 2025

Securing AIR 14 in CLAT 2025 and emerging as the Uttar Pradesh State Topper, Shantanu Dwivedi stands out as a disciplined, consistent, and deeply process-oriented aspirant.

Starting early in Class 11 with the two-year Foundation Batch at LPT’s CLAT Coaching in Lucknow, he spent his first year strengthening fundamentals and his second year mastering practice, revision, and CLAT mocks

What makes his journey inspiring is his resilience — even though English and Legal Reasoning were his strongest subjects, his mock scores fluctuated for months. But instead of losing confidence, he doubled his efforts and refined his accuracy.

Supported by expert mentors, the CLAT Express GK series, rigorous Super 30 training, and a structured two-year roadmap, Shantanu crafted the perfect balance of conceptual clarity and exam temperament. Here is his full interview — honest, detailed, and full of practical insights for future aspirants.

CLAT 2025 Topper Interview – AIR 14: Shantanu Dwivedi

Law Prep: What was your strategy? How did you plan your CLAT journey?

Shantanu: I began CLAT preparation in Class 11 through the two-year Foundation Program. My aim was clear: finish CLAT and Class 12 in one go and avoid a drop year. The teachers at the Lucknow centre – Sadaat Sir, Neeta Ma’am, and others – built my base with absolute conceptual clarity.

Law Prep: Which were your strongest subjects?

Shantanu: English and Legal Reasoning. I read regularly, which helped a lot. But even in my strongest subjects, my mock scores dropped often. Instead of panicking, I used low scores as motivation to work harder.

Law Prep: How did being part of the Super 30 Batch help you?

Shantanu: Super 30 gave extra practice, deeper explanations for tough topics, and excellent GK classes. The precision and intensity of preparation in Super 30 sharpened my accuracy significantly.

Law Prep: What do you think about the CLAT Express compendium?

Shantanu: It is one of the best GK resources. Well-formatted, fact-rich, and concise. I revised each edition twice before the next one arrived. Honestly, CLAT Express alone is more than enough for GK.

Law Prep: Did the online and recorded classes help in your preparation?

Shantanu: Completely. Recorded lectures allowed me to revise concepts multiple times. The faculty was extremely experienced, and their clarity helped a lot.

Law Prep: Are LPT’s modules enough?

Shantanu: More than enough. We got 30+ modules per subject, with multiple practice books. Combined with weekly mocks, it ensured regular revision and accuracy tracking.

Law Prep: Do you recommend the two-year program?

Shantanu: Definitely. In Class 11, I built my fundamentals — contracts, civil law, criminal law basics. In Class 12, I focused only on practice, GK, and mocks. It was the perfect combination.

Law Prep: Did low mock scores affect you?

Shantanu: Yes. Around July–August, my scores stagnated. It’s a frustrating phase, but very normal. You must trust the process. Consistency eventually restores momentum.

Law Prep: How was your experience in Super 30 overall?

Shantanu: Excellent. English, Maths, and GK classes were especially helpful. The environment itself was motivating, and recorded classes made revision smoother.

Law Prep: How would you describe your journey with Law Prep Tutorial?

Shantanu: Very fulfilling. The mocks, modules, and faculty guidance shaped my preparation. People complain that LPT mocks are tough – and that’s good! When mocks are difficult, the actual CLAT feels easier. As LPT says, “Feel CLAT before CLAT.” The All India Open Mocks gave me real exam-like exposure.

Law Prep: Any final message for aspirants?

Shantanu: Don’t fear low scores. Don’t skip mocks. Trust your teachers. And stay consistent – that’s the real key to clearing CLAT.
