Ojas Dixit Interview: AIR-23 CLAT 2026
Law Prep: Ojas, congratulations on securing AIR-23 in CLAT 2026 and AIR-59 in AILET 2026. How are you feeling right now?
Ojas: Thank you so much. I’m feeling superb, honestly. There’s a lot of relief and happiness. The exam went well overall, and seeing the result match the effort feels very satisfying.
Law Prep: How was the CLAT 2026 paper for you?
Ojas: The CLAT 2026 question paper was honestly a roller-coaster. I started with Quantitative Techniques, and it took me almost 25 minutes. That made me a little nervous initially, but I consciously calmed myself down. After that, the paper flowed much better, and overall it turned out to be a good attempt.
Law Prep: Are you satisfied with your performance, or do you feel there was scope for improvement?
Ojas: I’m happy with my performance, but of course, there’s always scope for improvement. Maybe a few decisions could have been better, but overall I’m satisfied with how I handled the paper.
Law Prep: When did you decide to pursue law as a career, and how did your preparation begin?
Ojas: I’ve always enjoyed debating and public speaking, and that’s when I realised I had a natural inclination towards law. Around Grade 9, it became clear that I wanted to pursue law seriously.
Last year, I started proper preparation for CLAT, with a special focus on CLAT current affairs, and that’s also when I joined Law Prep Tutorial’s CLAT coaching in Lucknow.
Law Prep: You joined the Law Prep Tutorial Lucknow Centre. How did it help you in your preparation?
Ojas: Law Prep helped me immensely throughout the journey. Many questions that appeared in the actual paper had already been practised in our CLAT mocks, especially in Maths.
Even in English, some passages felt very similar to what we had already solved. The level of prediction and alignment with the actual exam was incredible.

Law Prep: How useful were the study materials, classroom sessions, and mock tests?
Ojas: They were extremely valuable. I scored 28 marks in GK, and almost everything came directly from CLAT Express.
The classroom notes were very detailed and structured. I would especially like to mention Siddharth Sir, whose GK classes helped me a lot.
The mocks were so close to the real exam that CLAT didn’t feel stressful at all — it felt like just another mock.
Law Prep: Many students panic if one section takes more time. How did you handle that during the exam?
Ojas: When QT took longer than expected, I did feel nervous for a moment. But I reminded myself to stay calm and focus on execution. Panic only worsens things. Once I regained composure, the rest of the paper went smoothly.
Law Prep: What role did mock tests play in your preparation?
Ojas: CLAT mock tests were crucial. They helped me build exam temperament and confidence. Because of regular mock practice, the real exam didn’t feel unfamiliar or overwhelming.
Mocks also helped me identify weak areas early and fix them before the final exam.
Law Prep: How did you prepare for General Knowledge and Current Affairs?
Ojas: CLAT Express was the backbone of my CLAT GK preparation. Almost all questions came from there. I revised it multiple times and trusted it completely.
I didn’t overload myself with too many sources. Consistent revision mattered more than collecting new material.
Law Prep: Did you take coaching or mock tests from any other institute?
Ojas: No. I was a student of Law Prep Tutorial throughout my preparation.
I may have purchased one or two test series from other platforms out of curiosity, but my entire preparation, mentoring, and All India Open Mocks were from Law Prep itself.
Law Prep: What are your plans after CLAT and AILET?
Ojas: My immediate goal is NLU Delhi through AILET. In the long run, I aspire to prepare for UPSC, but I believe in taking one step at a time.
Law Prep: You managed CLAT preparation alongside Class 12. How did you balance school and coaching?
Ojas: Balance is very important. When school exams were close, I focused more on school. As CLAT approached, my priority shifted back to CLAT.
You cannot ignore school completely, and you also can’t neglect CLAT. Managing both smartly is the key.

Law Prep: What three tips would you give to CLAT 2027 aspirants, especially students in Class 11 and 12?
Ojas:
- Play to your strengths – Identify what you’re good at and master it completely.
- Maintain balance – School and CLAT both matter; adjust priorities as needed.
- Stay calm and confident – No matter how bad things seem, composure helps you recover.

My teachers, mentors, and especially the Lucknow centre faculty supported me throughout. My school also played a big role by being supportive during preparation.
