How to Solve Data Interpretation Questions in CLAT?

Here are some essential tips that a CLAT aspirant can follow to solve the data interpretation problems easily and quickly:

Tip 1: Remember that the question is the key to solving the data interpretation questions. Read a question thoroughly and decode the language of the question. Also, try to understand what exactly is the demand of the question. Once you have identified that, it will become easier to solve the problem.

Tip 2: Assess the data set given in the question. Not all the data provided in the question is required to solve the question. At times, crucial necessary data is coupled with unnecessary data to make the question tricky. Filter the data that is required based on the question and then proceed. Ignore the unnecessary parts of the data

Tip 3: Pay special attention to units and decimals. Often, the data presented is relatively straightforward, but there is hidden information in the units and representation of the data. So, when handling data for a question, make sure the entire data set is in the same unit. If not, then convert it before interpreting. Also, pay special attention to the decimals and percentages to avoid silly mistakes.
