5. Program Selection
You must select either CLAT UG or CLAT PG correctly. Under the previous rules, the program, category and BPL field could not be changed after the form was submitted and paid.
How to Register for CLAT Exam 2027?
Use the following step by step process on how to apply for CLAT exam or how to fill CLAT form:
Step 1: Visit the Official Website
Go to https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Click on “CLAT 2027” and then hit “Register”.
Step 2: Register and Create Login

Fill in your name, mobile number, and email ID to generate login credentials. You’ll receive an OTP for verification. Once verified, you can log in to fill the CLAT 2027 application form.
Step 3: Fill Personal and Category Details

- Upload a recent passport-size photo and signature (JPEG/PNG, 100–500 KB)
- Enter full name (as per 10+2 certificate), DOB, gender, and parent/guardian name
- Choose your All India Category: General, SC, ST, OBC, etc.
- If SC/ST/OBC, upload your category certificate (PDF, less than 1.5 MB)
- Answer whether you’re a PwD candidate and upload relevant certificate if applicable
Step 4: Enter Communication Details

- Fill in correspondence address and permanent address (State, District, PIN code)
- Provide mobile number (all notifications go here)
- Enter alternate contact number and alternate email ID
Step 5: Fill Qualifying Examination Details

- Select your qualifying exam (Class 12 or equivalent)
- Mention if you are Appearing/Appeared/Passed
- Fill in Board name, Month & Year of passing, and percentage of marks
- If you’re appearing for Class 12 in 2027, select “Appearing”, Month: May, Year: 2027. Leave percentage blank.
Step 6: Choose Test Centre Preferences
- Select three test centre cities in order of preference
- Final centre will be allotted based on availability

Step 7: Upload All Required Documents
- Upload all the necessary documents in proper formats and file sizes:
- Photograph and signature (JPEG/PNG)
- Category certificate, PwD certificate, domicile certificate, etc. (PDF under 1.5 MB)
Step 8: Pay the CLAT Form Fee

- SC/ST/BPL: ₹3,500
- You can pay via debit card, credit card, UPI, or net banking.
Step 9: Submit the Form and Save Confirmation

You may be allowed to enter multiple exam city preferences while filling out the form. Your exact centre name, address and reporting instructions will be given on the CLAT 2027 admit card. The Consortium may add, remove or change cities depending on the number of applicants and available centres.
How to Correct CLAT Application Form After Submission?
The Consortium of NLUs may open a CLAT 2027 application correction window after the registration period ends. During this period, candidates can edit specific details in their submitted form.
1. Visit the official website:
Go to consortiumofnlus.ac.in and log in with your registered mobile number and password.
2. Access your application form:
Once logged in, click on your CLAT 2027 application. If the correction window is active, you’ll see an “Edit” option.
3. Make necessary corrections:
You’ll be allowed to update editable fields like:
- Spelling errors in name
- Address or contact details
- Academic information
- Uploaded photo or signature (if rejected)
- Reservation or category details (based on supporting documents)
- Upload corrected documents (if required)
If any document was invalid or unclear, upload a new one in the required format.
4. Save and re-submit:
After making corrections, save the changes and download the updated confirmation page.
⚠️ Important Notes
- Not all fields may be editable. Core details like mobile number, email ID, and test centre preference may remain locked.
- Correction window is time-bound. No edits will be allowed once the window closes.
- No fee for correction, unless announced otherwise by the Consortium.
- Always verify updated details before final submission.
Common Mistakes to Avoid During CLAT Registration 2027
- Do not enter a name that differs from your Class 10 certificate or identity proof.
- Do not use an inactive or someone else’s mobile number and email address.
- Do not select CLAT PG instead of CLAT UG, or vice versa.
- Do not select the wrong category, PwD, BPL or domicile option.
- Do not claim a reservation without having the required certificate.
- Do not upload blurred photographs, signatures or certificates.
- Do not choose exam cities without checking travel distance and connectivity.
- Do not submit multiple forms unless necessary. Under the previous rules, only the last application was considered, while the fee paid for earlier forms was not refunded.
- Do not wait until 31 October 2026 to submit the form.
- Do not close the payment page without checking the transaction status.
- Do not forget to download the submitted form and fee receipt.
- Do not provide false information, as it may result in cancellation of your candidature or admission.
The Consortium previously stated that the program, category and BPL fields could not be changed after submission and payment. It also warned that incorrect or mismatched information could lead to the cancellation of admission.
