Educational Qualification for CLAT PG Exam

To meet the CLAT postgraduate eligibility criteria: 

• You must hold an LL.B. degree or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Bar Council of India. 
• Both 3-year LL.B. graduates and 5-year integrated LL.B. graduates can apply.
• If you’re still in your final year of LL.B. and expect your results by March/April 2027, you can also appear for the exam. However, you must provide proof of your qualification during the admission process—otherwise, your admission will be canceled.

Minimum Marks Required for CLAT PG

You must have the following minimum aggregate grade or percentage in your LLB:

• Rounding off is not accepted. For example, 44.9% will not be treated as 45%.

CLAT PG Age Limit

There is no upper age limit to meet the CLAT PG eligibility criteria. Whether you’re 22 or 52, as long as you hold a valid LL.B. degree and meet the marks criteria, you can appear for the exam.

CLAT PG Eligibility for Final-Year LLB Students

If you’re in your final semester or awaiting LL.B. results in 2027, you can still apply for CLAT PG. However:

• You must upload an undertaking confirming that you’re appearing for your final exams.
• You’ll need to submit your proof of qualification during the admission process.
• Failure to do so will lead to cancellation of your provisional seat.

CLAT PG Eligibility: Nationality

• Indian Nationals and NRIs can apply for CLAT PG.
• Foreign Nationals are not eligible for CLAT PG.
• Candidates applying for NRI/NRI-Sponsored or Foreign National seats must contact the respective NLUs directly for admission details.
• Each NLU follows its own reservation policy for categories like SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, and domicile-based quotas.
