How to Use NLSAT 2024 Question Paper for Your Preparation?

1. Measure Your Time on Every Passage

Record the time taken for all eight passages separately. If a topic like economics or constitutional history takes much longer, identify whether the problem is unfamiliar vocabulary, rereading or difficult reasoning questions.

2. Classify Errors Into Four Buckets

After checking the answer key, label each mistake as:

• Passage misunderstanding
• Critical reasoning error
• Current-affairs gap
• Poor option selection

This immediately tells you what kind of preparation will actually improve your score.

3. Practise Questions That Need Outside Knowledge Separately

The 2024 paper clearly shows that not every answer comes from the passage. Mark these questions after your attempt and create a list of current-affairs or static areas that repeatedly appear around passage themes.

4. Apply the Exact Negative-Marking Rule

Deduct 0.25 for wrong and unanswered questions. Then calculate how many marks you lost because of poor accuracy versus slow completion. These are two different weaknesses and should not be fixed in the same way.
