Interview With with Daiwik Agarwala: CLAT 2025 AIR 2

Law Prep: How are you, Daiwik? How’s life at NLSIU?

Daiwik: I’m doing great! Being here feels like a dream come true. I had imagined this place for so long, and now actually living that dream is an incredible feeling.

Law Prep: You come from a non-Math background. How did you handle the Quant section?

Daiwik: Yes, I studied humanities in Class 12, so returning to Math after a year was tough. The key is not to fear it. Clear your basics thoroughly and practice daily.

I was never naturally confident in Math, but consistent practice made me comfortable with patterns and question types.

Law Prep: Many think Quant can be skipped since it’s a small section. What’s your take?

Daiwik: Never skip Quant. It might be the smallest section, but it often decides your rank. Most students perform similarly in English, Legal, and CR — Quant is where you can stand out.

Law Prep: GK is the toughest section for most students. How did you manage it?

Daiwik: You must accept that CLAT GK preparation can never be “complete.” There will always be a backlog.

It’s not just bookish knowledge — it’s awareness. Stay curious, connect what you read with what’s happening around you, and revise regularly. Real-world exposure helps more than you realize.

Law Prep: How important are mock tests in CLAT preparation?

DaiwikMocks for CLAT are absolutely essential — even more than concept building. I started taking mocks within the first few days of prep and attempted around 120 mocks in total.

That familiarity made the real exam feel like another mock test. I already had strategies ready for any scenario.

Law Prep: You also appeared for AILET. Did you follow a different plan?

Daiwik: Not really. Preparation for CLAT covers most of AILET too. I just focused a bit more on one-liners and Analytical Reasoning, but the overall strategy remained the same.

Law Prep: What’s your one-line strategy for future CLAT aspirants?

Daiwik: Keep it simple — clear your basics, take lots of mocks, and stay calm. On exam day, treat it like any other mock. A composed mind performs best.
