The exam authorities adopt a normalisation process to eliminate any fluctuation in the difficulty levels of different sessions. This ensures that no candidates get advantage/disadvantage due to multiple sessions. As per the TS LAWCET 2026 instruction booklet, the normalisation process for the TS LAWCET result was as follows:

• STA: Average mark of the top 0.1% of the candidates in the subject of a session in which the candidate appeared.
• GTA: Average mark of the top 0.1% of all the candidates across all the sessions of the subject put together.
