Stages in the Maharashtra Judiciary Exam Paper Pattern
The Maharashtra Civil Judge exam pattern consists of three stages: Preliminary Exam, Main Written Exam and Interview. Check all details below:
- Preliminary Exam: It is an objective-type test comprising one paper. The total marks shall be 100. Since the prelims exam is a screening test, the marks obtained in this stage will not be considered for final selection.
- Main Written Exam: It is a descriptive-type test. The total marks will be 200 across two papers.

Maharashtra Judiciary Marking Scheme 2026
Here is the Maharashtra Civil Judge marking scheme for the preliminary exam shared below:
- 1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer.
- For every incorrect answer, 25% or 1/4th mark will be deducted from the total marks.
- If more than one answer is given for a question, the answer to that question will be considered incorrect, and 25% or 1/4th marks will be deducted from the total marks.
- If a question is left unanswered, no negative marking will be applicable in such cases
