AIR-26 CLAT 2025

Meet Moksh Singh: AIR-26 CLAT & AIR-44 AILET 2025

Among the standout performers of CLAT 2025, Moksh Singh (AIR 26) impressed everyone with his sincerity, discipline, and unwavering consistency. A Humanities student with long-term plans of preparing for UPSC, Moksh approached CLAT differently – not with shortcuts or selective study, but with complete trust in the process.

He attended every single class, took every CLAT mock test, and analysed every dip in performance with maturity. From scoring 38 in his first mock to securing a Top 30 All India rank, his journey reflects patience, self-awareness, and strategic growth.

In this conversation, Moksh opens up about mock fluctuations, peer influence, reading habits, his love for movies, his UPSC dream, and why Delhi makes perfect sense for him as he chooses NLU Delhi over NLSIU Bangalore.

Law Prep CLAT AIR-1 in Last 8 Years

AIR 26 in CLAT 2025 and AIR 44 in AILET 2025, Moksh Singh is one of those toppers whose success comes from discipline rather than shortcuts. A Humanities student from a family deeply aligned with academics and UPSC culture, he always knew he wanted to pursue public service.

His supportive family, strong reading habits, and consistent preparation played a defining role in his journey. Known for his humility and sincerity, Moksh attends every class, every bootcamp, and every mock with seriousness – and this consistency ultimately paid off.

Calm, introspective, and extremely grounded, he now heads to NLU Delhi, perfectly aligned with his UPSC ambitions.

Law Prep: Did you ever feel like skipping a class or mock test?

Moksh: Never. I found every class relevant. Students often think, “This is useful, this isn’t,” especially near the exam, but I believe that if a class is conducted, there is a reason behind it. So I attended everything religiously.

Law Prep: Tell us about your academic background.

Moksh: I’m from Humanities. My family is deeply connected to Humanities and UPSC, so the choice was natural. I always liked these subjects and scored 91% in Class 10. Humanities aligned with my long-term goals.

Law Prep: Did your friends taking Science influence your decision?

Moksh: Many of my friends took Science and were surprised that I didn’t. Some had a superiority complex about it, but I was clear about my direction.

Law Prep: What groundwork should 11th–early 12th graders focus on?

Moksh:

  • Build good study habits early.
  • Solve PYQs to realise CLAT isn’t as tough as it seems.
  • Strengthen basic maths, you cannot build it in 2–3 months.
  • Read a lot – newspapers, books, opinion pieces.
  • Reading helped me more than anything else.

Law Prep: What were your early mock scores?

Moksh: My first mock score was 38, then 44–45 in the next 5–6 mocks. Eventually, my highest went up to 102.

Law Prep: Did mock score dips demotivate you?

Moksh: Definitely. Some weeks were terrible. Talking to Sam Sir really helped. He helped me understand that bad mocks are normal and temporary.

Law Prep: What helped you improve the most?

Moksh: The OG Bootcamp. Watching smart peers solve CR, explain their strategies, and approach passages differently pushed me to level up.

Law Prep: You secured AIR 44 in AILET as well. Any specific tips?

Moksh:

  • Practice Analytical Reasoning regularly.
  • Reduce silly mistakes – every mark matters.
  • Check answer keys carefully – AILET changed many questions; I gained +12.5 marks after the final key.

Law Prep: You chose NLUD over NLSIU. Why?

Moksh: NLU Delhi is the best location for UPSC preparation. Also, it’s close to home, and I’m a bit of a homebody. The ecosystem in Delhi is unmatched for civil services.

Law Prep: How many hours did you study daily?

Moksh:

  • Toward the end: 6–8 hours/day
  • Initially: 3–4 hours practice + 2–3 hours GK

My daily routine included:

  • Revising One Liner Express
  • Revising Amit Sir’s notes
  • One mock + analysis
  • Section-wise practice
  • Reading newspaper editorials

Law Prep: Does CLAT preparation help in Humanities subjects?

Moksh: Absolutely. Political Science, especially World Politics, overlaps beautifully with CLAT content. CLAT builds conceptual clarity, not just factual knowledge.

Law Prep: Should students prepare separately for CLAT and AILET?

Moksh: Not really. Fundamentals are the same.

Don’t think in silos like “This is for CLAT only.”

Grammar, AR, reading, GK – everything is useful everywhere.

Law Prep: Your final message for CLAT aspirants?

Moksh: Be consistent. That’s the biggest reason behind every good rank.
