Golden Rules from CLAT Toppers
- Don’t chase all sources. Follow one plan, finish it fully.
- Revise weekly, not monthly. Small revisions = better memory.
- Accuracy > Attempts. 95+ attempts with poor accuracy = No NLU.
- Solve CLAT-like questions, not random MCQs. Pattern matters.
- Take CLAT mocks seriously. They predict your AIR months before the exam.

Step 2: Create Your Account
To proceed, you’ll need to sign up using a valid mobile number and email ID. After entering your basic details and setting a password, you’ll receive an OTP for verification. Once verified, you can log in to your dashboard.
Step 3: Fill the Application Form
Now complete the form by entering your personal details, educational qualifications, and category information. You’ll also need to select your preferred test centers. Upload scanned copies of your passport-sized photograph, signature, and any relevant certificates such as category or domicile, as required.
Step 4: Select Program and NLU Preferences
Choose whether you’re applying for the UG (BA LLB) or PG (LLM) program. Then, arrange the list of participating NLUs in your preferred order for seat allotment during counselling.
Step 5: Pay the Application Fee
Proceed to payment using debit card, credit card, UPI, or net banking. The fee for General and OBC candidates is ₹4,000, while SC/ST candidates need to pay ₹3,500.
Step 6: Final Submission and Confirmation
Before submitting, review all the details carefully. Once submitted, download and save the confirmation page and payment receipt for future reference.
CLAT 2027 Counselling and NLU Admission Process
Step 1: Declaration of Result and Rank List
Once CLAT 2027 results are released, the Consortium publishes the All India Rank (AIR) and scorecards. Your rank will determine your eligibility and position in the upcoming counselling rounds.
Step 2: Register for Counselling
To participate in CLAT counselling, log in to your account and register within the specified deadline. You must also pay a counselling fee—₹30,000 for General/OBC and ₹20,000 for SC/ST candidates. You’ll need to confirm or rearrange your NLU preference list during this step.
Step 3: Seat Allotment Rounds
The Consortium conducts multiple rounds of seat allotment based on your rank, preference list, and seat availability. If allotted a seat, you’ll be given three options—accept the seat and freeze it, apply for an upgrade, or exit from the counselling process.
Step 4: Document Upload and Seat Locking
After accepting a seat, you need to upload your academic documents, category or domicile certificate (if applicable), and confirm your decision. This step is mandatory to move forward in the process.
Step 5: Pay Admission Fee to the Allotted NLU
Once your seat is confirmed, pay the remaining admission fee directly to the allotted NLU within the given deadline. This secures your admission.
Step 6: Wait for Upgradation or Final Round
If you opted for an upgrade, you’ll be considered for a higher-preference NLU in the next rounds. Keep checking your CLAT account for updates. If not, your admission is finalized with the NLU already allotted to you.
