The CLAT 2026 exam schedule is yet to be announced, but it is expected to be conducted from 2 PM to 4 PM (120 minutes).

This timing is strategically set to allow candidates ample time to reach their designated test centers without the early morning rush, providing a relatively relaxed start to their day. A two-hour window in the afternoon ensures that candidates are likely to be fully awake and at their cognitive best, unlike morning slots which can sometimes see aspirants struggling with sleep inertia.

Candidates are advised to plan their arrival at the exam center well in advance. Ideally, reaching at least an hour earlier is recommended, though the official exam time for CLAT 2026 is yet to be announced.

This early arrival is important for several reasons: it allows time to settle any last-minute nerves, ensures there’s ample time to go through the necessary security and identity verification processes, and provides a buffer in case of unexpected delays such as traffic. It also gives candidates a few extra minutes to familiarize themselves with the exam environment, find their seats, and make any necessary adjustments before the exam begins.
