AIR-25 CLAT 2025

Dushyant Singh, AIR-25: CLAT 2025 Rajasthan Topper

The journey from AIR 44 to AIR 25 in CLAT 2025 (after revised results) was an emotional roller coaster for Dushyant Singh, the proud Rajasthan topper. When the revised CLAT results came out after weeks of petitions, disputes over answer keys, multiple hearings in the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court, thousands of aspirants were living in uncertainty.

Dushyant was one of them – refreshing updates constantly, tracking every interim order, and hoping clarity would finally come.

Yet, instead of letting the chaos crush him, he stayed composed. His rank improved significantly after deleted questions, reconsidered answer options, and a favorable tie-breaker – ultimately placing him in the Top 25 All India Ranks.

In this insightful conversation, he opens up about the confusion, the stress, and the mindset that helped him push through one of the most unpredictable CLAT cycles ever.

Law Prep: How does it feel now compared to your initial result announcement?

Dushyant: Much more satisfying. Earlier, everything was uncertain – college, admission process, Supreme Court judgment. Now everything is clear, and that gives a sense of stability.

Law Prep: During the petition chaos and delays, what was going on in your mind?

Dushyant: I was impatient. This case involved nearly 80,000 students, and yet hearings kept getting pushed – Delhi High Court, division bench, Supreme Court, transfer petitions. Judgments took 15 days each time. Every day someone claimed a new question was incorrect. Those months were exhausting.

Law Prep: What was your reaction when you saw the final result?

Dushyant: I called my parents first, sent it to the family group, then to my closest friends and teachers. I was actually in a committee meeting, so I couldn’t call everyone, but yes – the relief and joy were immense.

Law Prep: How did your rank improve from AIR 44 to AIR 25?

Dushyant:

  • There were seven contentious questions.
  • All the deleted ones were marked correctly by me.
  • For the Fundamental Rights vs. Fundamental Duties legal question, the court allowed two correct answers – and I had marked the other correct one.
  • Legal score is crucial for higher ranks.
  • Age tie-breaker helped too since I am born in January.
  • Everything aligned together.

Law Prep: Now that you’re heading to NLSIU Bangalore, what’s the first thing you plan to do on campus?

Dushyant: Explore the campus, interact with seniors, understand the environment, figure out what resources I’ll need. It’s overwhelming but exciting. And Jay will be there – I’m sure he’ll welcome me and mentor me.

Law Prep: How would you describe your journey at Law Prep Tutorial?

Dushyant: Not a roller coaster. My scores were stable, with a few dips. But there was one tough phase – last May – when I became very philosophical and indifferent. I questioned everything, including the point of CLAT. It cost me a month. My parents and mentors at LPT’s CLAT coaching in Jodhpur helped me come out of it.

Law Prep: You wrote CLAT in Class 11. What’s your advice to 11th-grade aspirants?

Dushyant: Give the exam seriously, as if you’re in Class 12. Early preparation builds a massive advantage. When I appeared in Class 11, I scored higher than many seniors. CLAT is not tied to school curriculum, except GK. Many Class 11 students perform at NLSIU level – they just can’t take admission yet. Two years of prep vs. one year makes a huge difference.

Law Prep: Any final words for your mentors and parents before heading to law school?

Dushyant:

  • Soniya Ma’am – built my vocabulary, reading, comprehension.
  • GK faculty – helped me simplify GK and avoid information chaos.
  • Mukund Sir & Megha Ma’am – helped me overcome overthinking.
  • Ritesh Sir – strengthened my QT confidence.
  • Sarwar Sir – always believed I’d get a double-digit rank.

My parents supported me unconditionally, not intrusively but lovingly. Their belief carried me through my worst phases.
