Vinayak Kedia’s journey to cracking CLAT 2025 is a story of consistency, disciplined practice, and a powerful mindset shift. A Foundation Batch student who prepared for two years, Vinayak always excelled in reading-based sections, thanks to his strong comprehension skills and a natural inclination toward analytical thinking.
Math was also his strength, supported by his mother, a math teacher. But GK was his biggest challenge — something he improved steadily through daily reading, mock test analysis, and Law Prep’s CLAT Express.
Guided by mentors who shaped his strategy and confidence, Vinayak Kedia embraced the mantra “Give mocks like CLAT, and give CLAT like a mock”, which ultimately defined his calm, composed performance on exam day.

Interview of CLAT 2025 Topper Vinayak Kedia
LPT: Congratulations, Vinayak! How does it feel to see all your hard work pay off?
Vinayak: Thank you so much, sir! I am absolutely over the moon. My parents, teachers, and friends are thrilled.
All credit goes to my teachers, my parents, and everyone who tolerated me, encouraged me, and guided me throughout these two years.
One mantra from Soumitra sir stayed with me:
“Give mocks like they’re CLAT, and give CLAT like it’s a mock.”
This line changed everything for me.
LPT: How did that mantra impact your mock test approach?
Vinayak: Many people think mocks don’t matter, but for me, they were everything. I analyzed every single mock as though it was the actual exam. And on CLAT day, I treated the paper like just another CLAT mock test that I’d taken a hundred times before.
This mindset kept me calm and hugely boosted my performance.
LPT: You were in the Foundation Batch for two years. Which subject was your weak area?
Vinayak: GK, without a doubt.
I’ve always been a strong reader, so RC, CR, and Legal were comfortable for me. Math was also strong, partly because my mother is a math teacher.
But GK was my biggest challenge.
LPT: How did you improve your GK over time?
Vinayak: The advice from Sachin sir and other teachers helped me the most.
I started reading everything —
- newspapers
- articles
- magazines
- and the entire GK section of every mock
Whenever I gave a mock, I would read the GK explanations in detail and memorise facts. Slowly but steadily, I saw real improvement.
Must Know for Every CLAT Aspirant:
LPT: How did Law Prep Tutorial help you during your journey?
Vinayak: Law Prep was the most important part of my CLAT preparation.
A few things stood out:
- Exceptional Teachers: I used to discuss every mock with you and Anupama ma’am. Once, she sat with me for three hours clearing every doubt. That personal attention is rare.
- High-quality Mock Tests: The mocks felt very similar to the actual CLAT. We had tough tests, easy tests, and balanced ones — which prepared me for every kind of paper.
- CLAT Express – A GK Lifesaver: Since GK was my weak area, CLAT Express became my primary resource. It boosted my confidence immensely.
Law Prep wasn’t just helpful — it was the backbone of my preparation.
LPT: What advice would you give to CLAT aspirants?
Vinayak:
- Enjoy the process. Don’t read because someone forces you; read because you want to grow.
- Build aptitude, not pressure. The more you enjoy learning, the faster your aptitude develops.
- Don’t judge yourself too early.
When I started, I didn’t even know who the Chief Justice of India was!
CLAT made me more informed about the world. Even if someone doesn’t clear the exam, they walk away smarter and more aware — and that itself is a big achievement.
