About Siddhi Ladda, AIR-15 CLAT 2025
Siddhi belongs to a family of lawyers – her father, grandfather, and uncle all practice law. Growing up in an environment where courtroom discussions, legal principles, and case stories were everyday conversations, she naturally gravitated toward the legal field. Once she decided to pursue law, she set her eyes on the best possible academic space – the National Law Universities – and began CLAT preparation.
Despite beginning her CLAT preparation with newspapers and detailed reading, Siddhi quickly adapted her strategy to focus more on comprehension, mock analysis, and conceptual understanding.
A disciplined yet relaxed learner, she never believed in studying for excessively long hours. Instead, she relied on smart studying, strong fundamentals, handwritten notes, and a balanced routine.
Her six months with LPT’s Super-30 Batch shaped her approach and boosted her consistency, ultimately helping her secure a top rank.
CLAT Topper Interview – Siddhi Ladda
Law Prep: Siddhi, how are you feeling after the results?
Siddhi: Relieved! Months of effort and discipline finally paid off. It feels wonderful.
Law Prep: What was your family’s reaction?
Siddhi: Everyone expected a good rank, but the excitement was still huge. The CLAT results came late at night — my mom actually woke me up! My whole family was surprised and extremely happy.
Law Prep: Why law? What inspired your decision?
Siddhi: I come from a family of lawyers — my dad, grandfather, and uncle. I grew up hearing discussions about cases, clients, arguments, and legal issues. Law always felt natural to me. I never considered anything else.
Law Prep: When did you decide you wanted to join an NLU?
Siddhi: Once I chose law, I knew I wanted to study at the best institution. My school was excellent, so I wanted my college to match that standard. NLSIU Bangalore became my dream.
Must Know for Every CLAT Aspirant:
Law Prep: Did you start with reading newspapers?
Siddhi: Yes. My dad encouraged me to read The Indian Express. But after a few months, I realized I was spending too much time on it. My comprehension was already strong, so I shifted my focus to analyzing content instead of reading everything extensively.
Law Prep: Did you study 10–12 hours a day? What was your routine like?
Siddhi: No! Hours don’t matter – focus does. My routine was simple:
- One GK section every day
- One section test daily
- Regular CLAT mocks
- Flexible schedule based on energy and mood
I ensured I didn’t burn out. I watched TV, rested properly, and kept my mind fresh.
Law Prep: How important was mock test analysis for you?
Siddhi: Extremely important. Almost all my mistakes were obvious once I analyzed them. Mock analysis helped me understand:
- Why I got questions wrong
- How to pick options better
- My weak areas
- How to reason more logically
- Analysis improved my accuracy and confidence.
Law Prep: Who supported you most at home?
Siddhi: My mother. She helped me through every tough moment. My parents never pressured me. My brother was also supportive — he’d sit with me just so I didn’t feel lonely while studying.
Law Prep: Tips for Legal Reasoning?
Siddhi:
- Focus on basics: contract, tort, constitution, criminal law
- Know principles very well
- Understanding the principle language is the key
- Practice builds intuition
- Keep updating yourself with current legal developments

Law Prep: How did you prepare GK? Did you use many sources?
Siddhi: No. I used handwritten notes and two main sources. My strategy:
- Read daily
- Write everything in short format
- Weekly revision
- Look up topics I didn’t understand
- Write one new interesting fact every day
- This improved retention massively.
Law Prep: You mentioned RC was a challenge. How did you improve?
Siddhi: Some topics, like philosophy, felt tough. So I worked on each weak topic for a week. Once I became comfortable, RC became much easier.
Law Prep: And how did you approach Math?
Siddhi: Math is all about basics. If fundamentals are strong, you can handle anything.
My strategy:
- Practice concepts consistently
- Do one mock every day
- Avoid overcomplicating it
Law Prep: One mistake students shouldn’t repeat?
Siddhi: Never underestimate yourself. Scores drop – that’s normal. You just need to stay consistent and calm.
Law Prep: How was your experience with mentorship and LPT study material?
Siddhi: Excellent. Joining the Super Student program 6 months ago transformed my CLAT preparation. The GK material was the biggest help — everything I needed was in one place. The mentorship kept me disciplined and focused.
