The Mindset That Helped Deeksha Crack CLAT 2026: Interview

For many CLAT aspirants, managing pressure is harder than managing the syllabus. Deeksha’s CLAT 2026 journey highlights how calmness, consistent reading, and strong emotional support can make a decisive difference—especially for students balancing CLAT with a science background and board exams.

Having prepared for CLAT alongside her school studies, Deeksha relied on structured guidance, steady preparation, and unwavering parental support. When CLAT 2026 introduced surprises—especially in Analytical Reasoning—she chose composure over panic and strategy over stress.

In this interview, Deeksha shares her CLAT D-Day experience, how she balanced science and CLAT preparation, the role of reading and mindset in her success, and the guidance that helped her perform with confidence.

CLAT 2026 Toppers

Law Prep: Congratulations on your excellent CLAT 2026 performance. How are you feeling right now?

Deeksha:

Thank you so much, sir. I’m feeling excellent and, honestly, very relieved. It feels great that this long journey has finally ended—and that too on a positive note.

Law Prep: Take us through your CLAT D-Day experience. How were you feeling before and after the exam?

Deeksha:

I was a little nervous initially, but not overly anxious. My family and friends were with me throughout, which created a very warm and familiar environment.

While entering the exam centre, my hands were a bit sweaty. But once I received the question paper, I calmed myself and focused on doing my best. When the exam ended, I felt immensely relieved that it was finally over and I could go home peacefully.

Law Prep: You come from a science background. Was it challenging to prepare for CLAT alongside school studies?

Deeksha:

In Class 11, I was definitely nervous about managing both science and CLAT. But my school teachers, coaching faculty, and family were extremely supportive.

By Class 12, I became confident that it was manageable. Now that CLAT is done, I have around two months left for board exams, and I’m confident I can give my best there as well.

Law Prep: How important was your parents’ role in your CLAT preparation and success?

Deeksha:

Parental support is one of the most important factors—it can either make you or break you.

My parents always believed in me. They told me that regardless of the result, they would be proud as long as I gave my 100%. That reassurance helped me stay calm and focused throughout my preparation.

Law Prep: You spent two years at Law Prep Tutorial, Jodhpur. How was your overall journey here?

Deeksha:

It was an amazing journey. I joined Law Prep’s CLAT coaching in Jodhpur in July 2024, and now it’s finally coming to an end.

I’ve met some of the most supportive teachers and faculty here. I was able to connect with them on a one-on-one level, and I’m truly grateful that they stood by me at every step of my preparation.

Law Prep: Analytical Reasoning played a major role in CLAT 2026. How did you react when you saw it in the paper?

Deeksha:

Initially, I was a bit surprised. But instead of panicking, I decided to leave it for later and focus on other sections first.

When I had around an hour left, I returned to Analytical Reasoning and gave it my best. I did miss a few questions, but I reminded myself that I had prepared well and handled it calmly.

Law Prep: One thing we noticed is that you don’t panic during surprises. What was your mindset?

Deeksha:

My mindset was simple-if I don’t know something, it’s likely that many others don’t either.

Panicking never helps. I believe in staying calm, attempting what I can, and then moving forward.

Law Prep: What is one thing aspirants must do and one thing they must avoid during CLAT preparation?

Deeksha:

One thing aspirants must do is read a lot. Reading was my biggest strength. No matter how long or short the passages were, I never struggled with time.

One thing aspirants must avoid is surrounding themselves with people who demotivate them. Instead, stay close to people who believe in you, support you, and inspire you to become better.

Law Prep: Javed Sir and CLAT Express played a major role in your batch. How did they help you?

Deeksha:

I’m extremely thankful to Javed Sir. He constantly guided, motivated, and prepared us thoroughly.

We spent nearly an hour every day in test discussions with him, and CLAT Express was a major part of my preparation. Around 26–28 questions in the actual paper were directly aligned with CLAT Express content, which helped me perform confidently.

Law Prep: Any final words or message for future CLAT aspirants?

Deeksha:

Trust your preparation, believe in yourself, and stay calm. If you’ve worked hard, things will fall into place. Consistency and confidence matter the most.
