UP APO Vacancy 2026: Selection Process

The UPPSC APO selection process includes three stages: Prelims Exam, Main Written Exam, and Personality Test.

  • Preliminary Exam: It consists of 150 multiple-choice questions to be answered on an OMR sheet within 2 hours. This stage serves as a qualifying screening test.
  • Mains Exam: It includes six descriptive papers. The maximum marks shall be 500, and only candidates who meet the required UP APO cutoff are shortlisted for the next stage. 
  • Personality Test: Candidates who qualify the Main Written Examination are shortlisted for the Personality Test, which carries 50 marks.
