Ranvit AIR-3 AILET 2025

Ranvit, AIR-3 AILET 2025: Prep Strategy & Routine

Every AILET aspirant dreams of breaking into the top 10, but very few manage it with the clarity, discipline, and self-awareness that Ranvit, AIR 3 in AILET 2025, brings to the table.

Currently studying at National Law University, Delhi, his journey reflects years of focus, inner motivation, and strategic preparation. Unlike many toppers who discover CLAT/AILET late, he decided to pursue law as early as Class 7 — inspired by MUNs, debates, and policy discussions — and finally began serious preparation in Class 10.

In this exclusive Law Prep Tutorial’s AILET topper interview, Ranvit talks about how he stayed consistent for years, how he structured his final three months, why daily GK and Quant are “non-negotiable,” and what role friends, break-time walks, and a simple Nokia phone played in his success.

For aspirants aiming for top ranks in AILET 2027 or CLAT 2027, this interview offers tactical clarity, emotional guidance, and practical habits worth adopting immediately.

About Ranvit, AIR-3 AILET 2025

Ranvit, AIR 3 in AILET 2025, comes from a non-law background — no one in his family is even remotely connected to the legal profession. His interest began early through MUNs and debates, and by Class 10, he committed to preparing for CLAT and AILET

What makes his journey special is not just consistency but the reason behind that consistency. He always reminded himself of two things: the desire to study with the best minds in the country and the motivation to learn from top professors at the best NLUs.

A disciplined, routine-driven learner, he focused on long-term habits instead of short bursts of motivation. Whether it was maintaining an Excel sheet for scores, creating a daily to-do list instead of rigid timetables, cutting off distractions, or analysing mocks with friends — every part of his journey reflects intentional effort.

Interview With Ranvit: AIR 3 in AILET 2025

Law Prep: When did you decide to prepare for AILET/CLAT? Any legal background?

Ranvit: No one in my family is connected to law. I decided in Class 7 because I loved MUNs and debates. I started preparing seriously in Class 10.

Law Prep: Consistency is the hardest part. How did you stay consistent?

Ranvit: Inner motivation. I reminded myself:

“If I don’t get into a top NLU, I won’t study with the best students.”

“I want the best professors and opportunities.”

Whenever I felt low, I took a short break, thought about why I started, and came back stronger.

Law Prep: What was your strategy for the final 3 months?

Ranvit:

  • Daily GK revision
  • 3 mocks per week (1 on Sunday, 2 from 2–4 PM to match exam time)
  • Daily GK tests
  • Daily Quant (non-negotiable)

It’s about routine, not a strict timetable.

Law Prep: Did you follow a fixed timetable?

Ranvit: No. I made a daily to-do list every morning instead:

  • What must I complete today?
  • What is top priority?
  • What can wait?

This keeps things practical and flexible.

Law Prep: How did you balance school with CLAT/AILET prep?

Ranvit: Boards are not stressful. I had Commerce and scored 98% without preparing before December. From December to February, you get enough time. Most top NLU students do the same.

Law Prep: How should students handle GK in the last 3 months?

Ranvit: GK has three steps:

  • Complete current affairs
  • Cover backlog (especially May–December)
  • Revise continuously

You don’t need to memorise lines — GK is recognition-based.

Law Prep: Were you afraid of Data Interpretation (DI)? How did you overcome it?

Ranvit: Yes, I struggled. Others took 5 minutes; I took 20.

My approach:

  • Allow yourself the needed time
  • DI is unavoidable
  • Plan mocks accordingly
  • And again — daily Quant is essential

Law Prep: How did you deal with boredom?

Ranvit: I studied with friends. When bored, we took short walks, had coffee, and came back refreshed. You don’t need to study for 4 hours straight. Study 1 hour → break → repeat.

Law Prep: How did you avoid distractions?

Ranvit:

  • Deleted Instagram
  • Gave my smartphone to parents
  • Used a Nokia button phone

If the device can’t distract you, you stay focused.

Law Prep: How did you analyse mocks?

Ranvit:

After every mock, my friends and I discussed:

  • What went wrong?
  • How did someone else get it correct?
  • I kept an Excel sheet of scores
  • I maintained a mock diary for pattern-based mistakes

This helped me fix exactly what needed improvement.

Law Prep: What was your OMR strategy?

Ranvit: Fill after each passage (5 questions).

It avoids:

  • Bubble mismarking
  • Section-wise mistakes
  • Forgetting corrections
  • Passage-wise OMR filling is the safest.

Law Prep: How did you spend the last 24 hours before AILET?

Ranvit:

  • Didn’t study anything
  • Avoided thinking about the exam
  • Talked to parents and friends
  • Watched movies, listened to music
  • A relaxed mind performs the best.

Law Prep: Did you pursue hobbies during prep?

Ranvit: Yes. If mock + analysis were done and I had 2 hours left, I watched a movie. You can’t study every second of the day.

Law Prep: How important are friends during prep?

Ranvit: Very important. Choose friends who are serious, motivate you, and push you to improve.

Stay a little distant from those who distract you — just until exams.

Law Prep: How is life at NLUD now?

Ranvit: Amazing. Everyone is intelligent and hardworking. Professors are excellent. Being around such peers pushes you to grow.

Law Prep: Students often ruin sleep while preparing. Your take?

Ranvit: Sleep is essential. When my smartphone was gone, I slept peacefully because my tasks were complete. Do quality work → sleep well → stay mentally strong.
