Some victories are not about flawless preparation; they are about how courageously you rise after a heartbreak. Rujhan Firoda, AIR 46 in AILET 2025, is the perfect example of mental strength, presence of mind, and emotional resilience.
On the night of December 7th 2024, when CLAT results unexpectedly dropped, his entire confidence collapsed. His expected 95+ score fell drastically, his rank shot above 1000, and he faced the shock alone in his rented room in Jodhpur.
But instead of breaking down, he rebuilt himself in just a few hours. By dawn, he picked up his books and decided to give AILET his best. The next morning, he walked into the exam hall with absolute clarity – and emerged as one of the AILET toppers.
This conversation reveals his mindset, strategy, and how he turned one of the worst nights of his life into one of his biggest achievements.

Interview With Rujhan Firoda
Law Prep: How did your interest in law begin?
Rujhan: I’ve always been an extrovert, loved debating, public speaking, and communicating with people. My mother introduced me to CLAT exam, and my elder brother, who is a law graduate, inspired me too. Everything slowly aligned toward law.
Law Prep: Do your communication skills help with law?
Rujhan: Completely. Law is about clarity, confidence, and interpretation. Being expressive has always helped me.
Law Prep: What exactly happened on the night of December 7th when CLAT results came?
Rujhan: It was heartbreaking. I expected above 95 marks and went to bed early because of AILET the next day. Suddenly, my phone started buzzing. When I checked, my score had fallen to 87, rank above 1000. I was shocked.
Law Prep: You were living alone. How did you handle the emotional crash?
Rujhan: It was one of the longest, toughest nights of my life. I felt alone, devastated, confused. But early morning, my best friend Dushyant Singh (CLAT 2025 Rajasthan Topper) told me:
“CLAT is done. The rank won’t change. Focus on AILET.”
That conversation changed everything. I picked up my books and told myself:
“One last time. I will not lose tomorrow.”
Law Prep: What mindset helped you bounce back so quickly?
Rujhan:
- Accepting that CLAT wouldn’t change
- Trusting my strengths (English + reasoning)
- Believing strongly in a second chance
- I entered the AILET hall with clarity, not fear.

Law Prep: What should students do differently for AILET?
Rujhan:
- Master AR — It is the heart of AILET.
- GK + Reasoning is cut-throat; revise basics thoroughly.
- If you prepare well for CLAT, you’re already 80–90% prepared for AILET. Just sharpen AR separately.
Law Prep: You studied PCMB. Do science students have any disadvantages?
Rujhan: Not at all. Every stream has strengths.
Humanities helps with GK.
Science builds focus and analytical ability. CLAT doesn’t depend on your board subjects. Anyone can crack it.
Law Prep: How much did Law Prep Tutorial help in your success?
Rujhan: A lot. I gave around 200 CLAT mocks from Class 11 onward. LPT taught me elimination, patterns, how to think, and how to stay mentally stable. The faculty — Anupama Ma’am, Mukul Sir, Sonia Ma’am, Megha Ma’am — shaped my preparation.
Law Prep: Any thoughts on your future career path?
Rujhan: I’m open-minded. Litigation attracts me, but I want to explore corporate, research, and all opportunities before deciding.
