There are three types of AILET answer keys:

Type of Answer KeyDescription
Law Prep Tutorial Expert Answer KeyExpert-solved key based on the actual physical question paper collected from students after the exam.
AILET 2026 Provisional Answer KeyOfficial key released first by NLU Delhi, open for challenges and corrections for a limited period.
AILET 2026 Final Answer KeyCorrected and finalised version of the key used for declaring AILET 2026 results and ranks.

The Law Prep Tutorial Expert Answer Key is prepared by our experienced faculty using the original AILET 2026 question paper brought by our students from different centres.

Since AILET is an offline exam, this method ensures the key is based on actual questions, not just memory. It gives you an early and highly reliable score estimate, long before the official keys appear, and helps you gauge your performance with confidence.

The AILET 2026 Provisional Answer Key is the first official key released by NLU Delhi. It contains the answers that the exam authority has marked as correct for every question.

Students, teachers, and coaching institutes can review this key carefully and point out suspected errors. During the objection window, you can submit representations, and these inputs may lead to corrections in the final answer key.

The AILET 2026 Final Answer Key is released by NLU Delhi after evaluating all objections raised against the provisional key. This document settles the correct answers for every question in the paper.

The AILET 2026 result and rank list are calculated strictly on the basis of this final key. Once it is published, no further challenges are accepted, so students must use it for final score verification and AILET 2026 counselling related decisions.

Step 1: Keep Your Question Paper and OMR/Response Sheet Ready

Place the AILET 2026 question paper and your marked responses alongside the answer key. This helps you compare each question in order without confusion or skipping.

Step 2: Match Each Response With the Answer Key

For every question, check if your chosen option matches the correct option given in the answer key. Mark a tick for correct answers and a cross for incorrect ones on your rough sheet or printout.

Step 3: Count the Total Number of Correct Answers

After matching all questions, count how many ticks you have. This number represents your total correct responses in AILET 2026 across all sections combined.

Step 4: Apply the Official Marking Scheme

Multiply the number of correct answers by 1, since each correct response carries one mark and -0.25 deduction for each wrong answer. The result is your raw AILET 2026 score out of 150.

Step 5: Compare Your Score With Expected Cut-Offs

Finally, compare your calculated score with the expected category-wise cut-off range. This gives you a clear idea of your chances for admission and helps you plan your next steps confidently.

1. English Language – Section Analysis

The English Language section in AILET checks reading comprehension, vocabulary in context, grammar, and basic reasoning through passages.

After AILET 2026 question paper, we will analyse the type of passages asked, length, and how much time an average student needed here. The table below will help you quickly see the balance between difficulty and scoring potential.

In AILET 2026, we will closely track how much weightage was given to recent events versus static topics, and whether the questions were direct or concept-based. Use this table to quickly judge how scoring the section was.

For AILET 2026, we will see whether the questions were lengthy, how dense the passages were, and how many students could finish within time. This section usually plays a major role in deciding top ranks.

Challenging this key is important because valid objections can lead to corrections before the final key is released, which directly affects your score and rank.

Step 1: Download and Print the Provisional Answer Key

First, download the official AILET 2026 provisional answer key PDF from the NLU Delhi website and, if possible, take a printout. Having a physical copy makes it easier to mark doubtful questions and compare options carefully.

Step 2: Match Your Responses and Mark Suspected Errors

Compare every answer you marked in the exam with the provisional key. If you find any answer that appears incorrect based on standard books, AILET Previous Year Question Papers, or strong reasoning, mark those question numbers clearly for further review.

Step 3: Collect Proof From Reliable Sources

Before raising an objection, collect supporting proof such as references from standard textbooks, bare acts, authoritative websites, or official reports. Strong, well-documented evidence increases the chances that your objection will be accepted and the key will be corrected.

Step 4: Submit Objections as per Official Instructions

Follow the instructions given in the official notification for submitting objections (such as email, online form, or specific format). Clearly mention question number, provisional answer, your suggested correct answer, and attach the supporting proof, within the given deadline.

The provisional answer key is the first official version released by NLU Delhi soon after the exam. It is open to feedback and objections from students and experts. If valid challenges are raised with proper proof, the exam authority reviews them and makes necessary corrections.

Once this process is complete, NLU Delhi publishes the final answer key, which is non-editable and binding. The final key is used to calculate scores, prepare the merit list, and declare the AILET 2026 results, so all admission decisions are based only on this version.

  • Helps you predict your exact score early: The answer key lets you calculate your marks long before the results, helping you understand where you stand and plan your next steps confidently.
  • Allows you to check accuracy and performance: Matching your answers with the key shows how well you interpreted questions and how accurate your reasoning was across all sections.
  • Highlights your strong and weak areas: A careful review tells you which topics you mastered and which consistently caused errors, helping repeaters prepare smarter for next year.
  • Helps identify potential evaluation errors: If you notice wrong answers in the provisional key, you can challenge them with evidence, ensuring no unfair marking affects your final score.
  • Useful for cut-off and rank prediction: Knowing your estimated score helps you compare it with expected AILET cut-offs and get a realistic idea of your rank range and admission chances.
  • Builds familiarity with AILET’s evolving pattern: The answer key helps you analyse question style and difficulty trends, strengthening preparation for future AILET or CLAT exams.
  • Not matching question numbers correctly: Many students misalign question numbers, especially when checking on a mobile screen, leading to incorrect score calculations.
  • Overlooking the marking scheme: Some students forget that AILET has negative marking and apply wrong assumptions while computing their marks.
  • Ignoring the final answer key: Students often continue using the provisional key, even after corrections, which leads to wrong expectations about their actual score.
  • Relying only on memory-based attempts: Estimating answers from memory instead of using the actual paper reduces accuracy and leads to false score predictions.
  • Missing the objection deadline: Many students identify mistakes but don’t submit objections within the given window, losing the chance to correct scoring errors.
  • Using unreliable answer keys from random sources: Not all keys online are prepared by experts. Using inaccurate keys can give wrong expectations of performance.
