CLAT Grievance Redressal

CLAT 2026 Grievance Redressal: Process, Dates, Rules

The CLAT 2026 grievance redressal mechanism has been officially announced by the Consortium of NLUs, giving candidates a structured way to raise genuine issues after results.

The three most important things you must know are:

  • The grievance portal is open for a strictly limited time,
  • Grievances related to final answer keys are not allowed,
  • Only specific issues like marks calculation, counselling, or exam conduct can be raised.

If you are facing any such concern, the CLAT grievance portal 2026 is the only valid route.

Below we have covered what the mechanism is, who it is for, how to file correctly, and how it impacts CLAT counselling and CLAT seat allotment.

Upcoming CLAT Exams:

The CLAT 2026 Grievance Redressal Mechanism is an official process created by the Consortium of National Law Universities to address post-exam concerns raised by candidates.

A dedicated Grievance Redressal Committee, chaired by a former Supreme Court judge, examines complaints related to marks computation, counselling registration, seat matrix, exam centre issues, and conduct during the exam.

The purpose of this mechanism is to ensure fairness, transparency, and timely resolution of genuine problems faced by candidates.

It is not a re-evaluation process for questions or answers, but a corrective system for procedural or administrative issues linked to CLAT 2026.

The Consortium then resolves valid grievances in a time-bound manner, and necessary corrections are implemented where applicable.

Grievances related to marks calculation, counselling registration, or seat matrix can directly impact your rank, eligibility, and seat allotment. A resolved computation error may change your merit position, which can influence counselling outcomes. This is why eligible candidates must raise genuine grievances promptly through the official process.
