The State CET Cell, Maharashtra, releases the MH CET Law merit list on its official website before every counselling round. Those candidates whose names appear on the institute-level merit list are eligible for seat allotment. Candidates admitted to the 5-year LLB program must report to their colleges by the deadline specified in the schedule.

MH CET Law Merit List 2026
The State CET Cell, Maharashtra, will release the merit list after the declaration of the entrance MH CET Law result. The merit list includes the names, scores, and ranks of candidates who qualify for admission to law colleges.
Candidates can check the rank list online on the official website. For the five-year law programme, the MH CET BA LLB merit list will determine which candidates are eligible to participate in the counselling and seat allotment process.
MH CET Law 2026 Merit List – Tie Breaking Procedure
If two or more candidates obtain the same score on the MH CET Law merit list, the authorities apply a tie-breaking rule to determine the final MH CET Law rank list.
Tie-breaking criteria include:
- Candidates with higher marks in the Legal Aptitude section will be given preference.
- If the tie persists, the candidate with higher marks in the Logical Reasoning section will receive a higher rank.
- If the tie remains unresolved, marks in the General Knowledge and Current Affairs section will be considered.
- If candidates still have the same score, marks in the English section will be evaluated.
- If the tie persists even after applying all criteria, the older candidate will be given a higher rank in the MH CET Law rank list.

After the release of the MH CET Law merit list, the State CET Cell conducts the counselling process for admission to participating law colleges.

- Candidates whose names appear on the MH CET Law merit list must register for counselling.
