- Scheduled Castes (SC)/Scheduled Tribes (ST): 5 years
- Backward Classes (A and B) of Haryana: 5 years
- Unmarried female candidates of Haryana: Relaxation up to 45 years of age
- Persons with Disabilities (PWD): 10 years
Women Eligible For Reservation & Relaxation Of 5 Years In Haryana Judiciary Services
- Wives of serving disabled military personnel
- Widows of military personnel killed in action
- Widows of men ordered by civil/criminal courts to pay maintenance
- Women that are legally separated from their husbands or have been divorced
- Women living separately from their husbands for more than two years because of desertion (must provide an affidavit countersigned by two responsible persons)
- Women who have remarried are not eligible for the age concession.
Haryana Judiciary Services Age Limit Relaxation For Ex-Military Personnel
- For ex-military personnel, the upper age limit is relaxed to the extent of their military service added by three years, subject to a maximum of five years.
- The ex-military personnel must have rendered continuous military service for a period of not less than six months before their release.
- The ex-military personnel must not have been released by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency.
- Disabled military personnel are entitled to exclude from their age the period from the date they were disabled up to the date of their application or till the end of the emergency, subject to a maximum of five years.
Age limit relaxation for Physically Handicapped category candidates of Haryana for HJS Exam
- The upper age limit for Physically Handicapped category candidates of Haryana is relaxed by 10 years (15 years for SCs/BCs of Haryana).

HJS Exam Educational Qualifications
- To be eligible for the HJS Exam, candidates must hold a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a university established by law and recognized by the Bar Council of India.
- The expression “Degree of Bachelor of Laws” means a degree entitling a candidate to be enrolled as an Advocate under the Advocate Act, 1961, and the rules made there under
- The candidate must also be enrolled or eligible for enrollment as an Advocate under the Advocates Act 1961.
Nationality Criteria For The Haryana Judicial Services Exam
- Candidates must be citizens of India.
- Candidates from Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet can apply if they have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
- Candidates of Indian origin who have migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, or Ethiopia can apply if they have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
- Candidates obtaining a certificate of eligibility can apply provisionally but will only receive an offer of appointment after obtaining the certificate.
